Introduction of 5796-17-8 :

D-Dopa (3-Hydroxy-D-tyrosine) is a potent, orally active, non-competitive and allosteric inhibitor of glutamate carboxypeptidase II (GCPII) with an IC50 of 200 nM. D-Dopa elevates brain dopamine and produce turning behavior in rats. D-Dopa inhibit severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) virus infection. D-Dopa can be used for neurological disease and virus infection research[1][2][3]. IC50 & Target:IC50: 200 nM (GCPII) In Vitro:D-Dopa (10 µM, 0-60 min) exhibits good metabolic stability in mouse plasma (100% remaining) and mouse brain homogenate (82% remaining)[1].
D-Dopa (0-0.25 mM, 48 h) inhibits SFTS virus (SFTSV) in a dose-dependent manner mainly by blocking viral attachment to host cells, with IC50 values of 4.23 µM (by plaque assay) and 6.72 µM (by viral RNA quantification), respectively[3]. In Vivo:D-Dopa (50 mg/kg, i.g., single dose) produces significant increases in dopamine and its metabolites in the intact striata in rats with unilateral 6-hydroxydopamine-induced lesions of their substantia nigra, when combined with Carbidopa (HY-B0311) (5 mg/kg)[2].
